Roscrea Brooch
This attractive and important silver ring-brooch, dating
from around the year 900 AD, has a long pin shank, a decorated
pin-head and ring and loop with amber studs and gold filigree
work. Next to the Tara Brooch it is one of the most important
personal ornaments of the Early Historic Period
